Factors which distinguish Butterfly Tours from other sea kayak outfitters:
- Our kayak tours have the smallest groups in Gwaii Haanas; most of our tours have a maximum group size of six guests.
- (Other kayak outfitters travel with up to ten guests per trip.)
- Butterfly Tours is the only outfitter in Gwaii Haanas specializing in single kayaks. We provide each guest with the opportunity to paddle a single kayak for the entire trip. (As an alternative, a double kayak is available, however; we do not provide paddling partners for the double. If you would prefer paddling the double, please arrive with your own paddling partner.)
- (Many other outfitters provide only double kayaks. Some other outfitters provide a mixed fleet of doubles and singles; requiring each guest to wait their turn before enjoying a single.)
- The last night of our wilderness kayak tours includes hot showers, dinner and accommodation at the Rose Harbour Guesthouse.
- (Few other outfitters provide this welcome addition to their itineraries.)
- Our price includes floatplane transportation between the town of Sandspit and the most remote and pristine region of Gwaii Haanas, an area untouched by modern logging.
- (Other outfitters may provide speedboat transportation and/or run their tours closer to Sandspit, where clear-cut logging occurred in recent history. See maps.)
- Our price includes the National Park Reserve entrance fee of $120 per person.
- Butterfly Tours is owned and operated by your guide, Gord Pincock. In 2010, Gord will return for his 30th consecutive season of kayaking on the Charlottes. He is widely recognized as the most experienced sea kayak guide on the Islands.

Reservations
If our tours are not what you're looking for, but you still want to enjoy a guided kayak tour or mothership cruise on the Queen Charlotte Islands, we would be happy to recommend another reputable outfitter. Please contact us.
Currency Exchange
Our Canadian dollar tour prices are confirmed for 2010.
For approximate exchange rates, please use a currency converter.
Contact us to receive a confirmed quote in American dollars, or another currency. Due to fluctuating rates, our currency exchange quotes are valid for one week. (Currency exchange quotes expire after seven days.)
To reserve a space using a confirmed quote, full payment must be received by Butterfly Tours before the currency exchange quote expires.
Alternately, you may reserve a space by paying the $500 deposit. Full payment would then be due 90 days prior to departure, at our exchange rate in effect at the time.
Please pay the deposit in the same currency you later provide the balance of payment.
When paying with Canadian dollars, the CAD $500 deposit is later subtracted from the Canadian tour price.
When paying with American dollars, the USD $500 deposit is later subtracted from our currency exchange quote.
