Butterfly Tours is one of the smallest sea kayaking companies operating in Gwaii Haanas, and we believe that’s one of our greatest strengths. We are a small, locally operated team of professional kayak guides who spend our summers on the water and know the coastline, campsites, weather and wildlife firsthand.

Keeping our company small allows us to keep our trips personal, flexible and focused on the experience rather than the numbers. Our guides get to know our guests, our groups travel together as a team, and we have the flexibility to slow down for wildlife, explore an interesting shoreline or take advantage of the perfect weather window.

In a wilderness as special as Gwaii Haanas, small is better. Fewer people means a quieter experience, a lighter footprint and more opportunities to experience the coastline, rainforest and wildlife without feeling like you're part of a large tour group.
